I then got in touch with my penpal I was sending to, Helen (Blog). Helen is a fellow cake maker and loves caravanning like I do so it should have been really easy. I kept imagining a kitchen full of baking goodies like mine and really couldn't decide what to do so I went to Helen's blog for a read. There I found out she loved books and immediately came up with a plan! I didn't take photos so head over to Helen's blog if you'd like to know more :-)
I was so excited to hear my parcel was on it's way and then this giant box arrived!
I opened up my parcel to find a lovely letter...
And lots of well wrapped goodies..
Jules had really got it right for me and sent a jar of ingredients for me to bake cookies which I will hopefully bake this weekend.
Also 3 essences to add yummy flavours to my cakes, pineapple, banana and coconut. I will definitely be using them soon, I haven't used any of these essences before and was actually quizzing my husband on a recipe at 3am in the morning with some ideas I now have!
Lastly, a huge treat, lamingtons! I had never eaten a lamington before but definitely will again. There is something lovely about eating a cake baked by somebody else and these were delicious. They were a great cake to post too and stayed fresh for a few days after I received them. Although the first was quickly enjoyed with the cup of coffee in the background!
Thank you Jules, my foodie penpals parcel was fantastic and I'm looking forward to taking part in April already! I hope Helen enjoyed the parcel I sent for her too.
